Your photos stay on your phone
Peel turns your photos into WhatsApp sticker packs. The cutting-out happens on your phone. There is no account to create and no server that receives your photos or your stickers.

The short version
The app does not have permission to use the internet. You don't have to take our word for it: Android enforces it, and you can check. Peel declares no INTERNET permission, so it cannot send your photos or stickers anywhere, even if it tried.
There is no analytics, no advertising and no tracking. Nobody, including us, can see what you make.
What the app holds
| What | Why | Where it goes |
|---|---|---|
| Photos you pick or take | To cut out the subject and make a sticker | You choose them with Android's photo picker, so Peel sees only the photos you select, never your whole gallery. A reduced working copy is kept in the app's private storage so you can edit the sticker later. Deleting the sticker deletes the copy. |
| Your stickers and packs | They are what the app is for | Stored in the app's private storage on your phone |
| Emoji tags and descriptions you type | WhatsApp needs emoji tags. The description is read aloud by screen readers. | Stored with the sticker on your phone |
| Moving to a new phone | So your packs come with you | If you use Android's phone-to-phone transfer, your packs and stickers are copied to the new phone. The working copies of your original photos are not. Peel makes no cloud backup. |
When you tap Add to WhatsApp, WhatsApp reads that pack's stickers from Peel so it can install them. Only WhatsApp and WhatsApp Business are allowed to read them. Once stickers are in WhatsApp, and in any chat you send them to, WhatsApp's privacy policy applies to them, not ours.
The cut-out model
Peel uses Google's ML Kit to find the subject in a photo, and the analysis runs entirely on your phone. The model itself is supplied by Google Play services, a separate part of Android. The first time it is needed, Play services may download it, and that download is Google's, governed by Google's privacy policy. Your photo is never part of that download.
Deleting your data
Deleting a pack or sticker removes it from Peel. Uninstalling the app deletes everything Peel holds. Stickers already added to WhatsApp are managed inside WhatsApp.
Children
Peel is intended for people aged 13 and over.
Changes
If the app ever starts doing something this page does not describe, this page changes first. The date at the top shows when it last changed.
